Preparing for People Keeping Well Tender
**Please note - we do not have a cafe meeting in October and the People Keeping Well discussion has been re-scheduled for our November meeting instead - please book your ticket here **
Our NOVEMBER Café will be useful for anyone bidding for the upcoming Council & CCG tender for People Keeping Well. Book your place now!
In the recent tender briefings, the commissioners said they would be interested in bids which used an asset based approach to develop community wellbeing. Building on what’s good in local communities is an approach to tackling deeply entrenched issues, such as the problems of isolation and loneliness among some older people, which is attracting the interest of commissioners currently.
In Sheffield commissioners from the Council & the CCG have signalled that they will be interested in collaborative bids from local organisations working in communities of around 20,000 people (covered by clusters of 3 or 4 GP practices) who, through working together, can demonstrate a real impact on improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people in the local communities they serve.
If you are interested in bidding for this tender, please join us at our November Café where we will have national expert Simon Rippon, of co-author of a very useful 2015 Health Foundation report on asset based approaches to developing health and wellbeing with us. He will be sharing some insights into best practice examples of ABCD (asset based community development) approaches to improving community wellbeing from elsewhere.
We hope this event will prove helpful inspiration for those of you looking either to find out more about asset based approaches, or to bid for this upcoming tender.
