Reviewing a fantastic year!

We have covered some great topics :

Digital innovation,

Community Development and investment,
We've looked at PR- from crafting your stories for a general audience through to creating targeted stories for the local news,
We've looked at ways to motivate volunteers,
developing your website offering,
story telling and it's impact,
branding and
best practice around employment.

And managed to consume a lot of tea and coffee!

Sophy and Laura at the community cafe

I also want to take some time out to thank all of those that have worked to keep the cafe going over the last 12 months since I left the UK. I particularly want to thank Sophy for all her hard work and dedication, we set the cafe up as a team 6 years ago and we've come along way since those first nervous cafes. Sophy has done an amazing job over the year  finding great speakers and venues and managing the time difficulties in talking to me across in America! I have missed coming along to cafes but it's been great to see the conversations online and to hear about them afterwards! There is some really great stuff going on Sheffield.

We set the Cafe up all those years ago as a place to come and explore ideas, for those people who had ideas, used their ingenuity and had aspirations for their organisations, we wanted to provide a place where this was encouraged and stories were shared. We are going to spend the summer looking at how we can take this idea forward.
