the Third Sector Cafe
What is the Third Sector Cafe?
The Third Sector Cafe is a network for nonprofit organisations that's based in Sheffield.
Who are we here for?
You! If you are involved in non-profit activities in the city. And, because the issues in Sheffield are similar to the issues faced by non-profit organisations in other places, we're also here for you if you're based somewhere else, but are interested in the topics we're discussing.
How does it work?
We take one tricky, topical issue per month and explore how local non-profit organisations are dealing with it and share information in our ebulletins for subscribers. Sign up here.
What are the Cafes?
The Cafes are probably the most popular part of what we do. They are meetings of 10 to 15 people who are interested in the topic we're discussing and find it useful to get together to share ideas about ways non profits can best respond or manage it. We will often also invite experts to join us who can answer questions and offer their advice.
But the real value probably still lies in the chance to tap into the collective know-how of other people like you in the room, who share your challenges of getting the job done the best they can with limited resources, and have learnt a thing or two along the way that could make a difference for you.
How can I get involved?
Sign up to our newletters or keep an eye on our programme of cafe discussions and book a ticket to join us for any which are relevant for you. You are welcome to have a look at our archive of resources and previous expert speakers from earlier cafes.
